Kastan Mentoring UK will host an interactive webinar to help young people and women build the confidence and skills to navigate today’s digital world. Through practical demonstrations and discussions in Somali and English, participants will learn how to assess online information, recognise misinformation and AI-generated content, protect their privacy, identify scams and use AI responsibly for learning and everyday tasks.
The event will bring together educators, civil-society organisations, youth leaders and community representatives to share experiences and explore accessible approaches to digital inclusion, including support for people with disabilities and those with limited digital skills.
Participants will leave with practical tools for checking information, staying safe online and sharing knowledge within their communities. The webinar will contribute to UNESCO Global Media and Information Literacy Week’s theme, “We All Play a Part – Media and Information Literacy for the People.
